Kotka Sea Beach in Sundarban

Kotka Sea Beach is located in the southeast corner of Sundarbans, which is one of the most attractive places in Sundarbans. Kotka is located about 90 km from Mongla Port and is the main hub in the Sundarbans Eastern Reserve.

One of the main attractions of the Sundarbans is the Royal Bengal Tiger. But seeing a tiger in the forest is as scary as it is dangerous. However, seeing the tiger and being safe are both possible from the beautiful tourist center of the Sundarbans, Katka Sanctuary. Royal Bengal Tiger, one of the main attractions of the Sundarbans, is often seen here. Apart from this, Katka Sanctuary has always occupied a special place in the list of tourists  favorites because of the beautiful Chitra deer herds, different species of birds, peaceful nature, and the presence of various wild animals.

There is a Forest Department rest house at Kotka. There is a wooden dock to board from the launch at the rest house. The rest house is a short walk down the jetty. In front of it can be seen the huge waves of the ocean. There are many small and big canals around it. A boat trip on these canals is very fun. Chitral deer can be seen grazing in groups along the canal. Apart from this, monkeys, wild cats, and forest roosters are seen. Sometimes the roar of a tiger is also heard. In the dark night, the light fair of lakhs of bonfires enthralls and mesmerizes. Dense patches of mangrove vegetation can be seen at low tide of the canal on the northern side of the wooden tail facing straight west from the back of the Kotka Forest Department office. If you walk a while south of the forest, you will see three tiger mounds in a row. Tiger footprints are often seen in this dune.

Spectacular views of wild animals, herds of deer roaming, pigs running around with monkeys, tigers hunting deer, or tigers walking in a majestic manner attract tourists from Katka Jamtala Watch Tower. Past Kotka Watch Tower, Jamtala Beach is a three-kilometer trek directly north. Jamgach Beach, which lives up to its name, varies in size along the route. Jamtala Beach is quiet and well-maintained. The crabs have left their artistic mark all over the beach. The roots of trees that have been washed away by tidal surges are visible in some locations. The beach finishes at Kachikhali after running directly to the seashore. For gran (fish), Jamtala Beach is not the best location.
