Hiron Point in Sundarban

Hiron Point is a protected sanctuary in the southern part of Sundarbans. UNESCO has designated Hiron Point as one of its World Heritage Sites. Nilkamal is another name for Hiron Point. ‘Welcome to Nilkamal’ is inscribed on the wooden gate. As a sanctuary, this area provides many tigers, deer, monkeys, birds, and reptiles with a secure home. One of the greatest spots in the Sundarbans to witness Royal Bengal Tigers is Hiron Point. In addition, there are figures of deer and wild boar. Among the birds, there are huge egrets, weeping egrets, grebes, yellow-breasted herons, black-headed herons, and white-breasted herons.

You won’t have to go far to see this place’s hidden beauty; while you stroll, you can frequently see a shy deer hiding behind the woods. As you stroll along the trail, you will come upon a somewhat open region with nothing but large, gorgeous trees and innumerable breathing roots emerging from the earth. Between are a bunch of monkeys running. There is a towering watch tower near the trail’s finish, and you may get a good view of the forest from here.

Furthermore, Keorasuthi, which is only 3 kilometers from Hiron Point, has a watch tower. Hiron Point and other parts of the Sundarbans‘ natural beauty are visible from the watch tower.
